23 (2015)

The age of 23 seems to mark a pattern in my female lineage: 23 was the age of my grandmother when she had my mother, and it was the same age in which my mother had me. Now that I am 23 I decided also to have my first baby: this movie. My attempt is to clarify a key issue of my upbringing: the reason why I was raised by my grandparents instead of my parents. This documentary not only explores my search to obtain that answer and describes the main characters of my childhood, but also unfolds the conflicts that I found along this filming experience.
