An Only Sin

Not dedicating myself to what I truly want to do is the ultimate way to take my life for granted.
That, I believe, is the real and only sin in life.
No amount of prayer, meditation, or self-care can fix a life that lacks leadership.
The only way forward is courage—choosing it repeatedly, over and over again. And courage is practical thing...
Mostly, it’s about putting fear into perspective: it’s far scarier to grow old and carry the weight of unrealized dreams, the grief of what could have been, and the regret of promises you made to yourself but didn’t honor than it is to face small fears and daily challenges, step by step, on the path to living authentically.
People often compliment me on being courageous. And yes, I’ve identified with that concept quite a bit. It feels like part of my identity: my very name, Valentina, comes from the Spanish word valentía, meaning courage. But ironically, I’ve found myself in so many self-created struggles—situations I’ve plunged into just to prove I could overcome them, just to feel worthy of my name…
Looking back now, I can laugh at the sheer comedy of it all. Humor, I’ve learned, is an incredible healer for the dramas and self-fulfilling prophecies we create for ourselves.
Today, I feel inspired to say: Courage isn’t a superpower. It’s not a gift or a personality trait. It’s a practice—something you build over time, through discipline, faith, and love.❤️🔥
If you can cultivate consistency and love, you can build courage. Then watch yourself thrive—patiently and in divine timing.
And when things get terrifying (and they will), hold your own hand. Be your own anchor, but also ask for help from your community. There’s nothing more courageous than recognizing your own vulnerability and interdependence.
At its core, courage is the byproduct of love: the love you are, the love you feel, and the love you see in others. There’s no courage without love, and there’s no love without courage. They are inseparable.
That’s it. That’s the formula. No shortcuts, no secrets.
From love, we came. To love, we shall return
